Questions people ask before they call
What actually makes it cooler underneath?
The panel is two aluminium skins bonded to a rigid insulated core. The core is what breaks the heat path, so far less of the sun landing on the roof gets radiated down into the space below the way it does with bare metal sheeting.
Is it quieter in heavy rain?
Considerably. A single sheet of metal drums because there is nothing behind it. The bonded core damps that impact, which is usually the second thing people notice after the heat.
Can it go over my existing structure?
Often yes. The panels are light compared with tile or concrete, so an existing car porch or patio frame is frequently reusable. We check the structure at the site visit before quoting.
Will it rust like my old zinc roof?
Aluminium does not rust the way galvanised steel does. The finish is a coated aluminium skin, chosen for a coastal, high-humidity climate.
How long does an installation take?
A typical car porch or patio is a matter of days once materials are on site. We confirm the schedule with you in writing before we start.
